Storm warning: the Estate & Royal Museum of Mariemont will be closed to the public on Saturday, 4 October 2025.

The Museum is temporarily closed to the public until 21 November 2025 inclusive as the frames are replaced.

Over the centuries, numerous visions of alternative futures have developed : they reflect our nostalgia for an "idealized" past, present concerns or fears aroused by the society of tomorrow. The exhibition explores our fascination with movement in space and time and how they have stimulated the imaginations of artists and writers.
