An extension to the exhibition Sensing the Buddha

A photographic trail of some fifty prints which offers a glimpse of the Buddhist presence in Belgium. These photographs were taken by Andy Simon with both a documentary and artistic approach. Landscapes, architecture, gestures and objects captured by his lens suggest rituals, sounds and fragrances.

The photographed temples are :

  •  le Centre Zen du Brabant Wallon (Rixensart), l
  •  le Dhammaramsi Meditation Center (Rivière),
  •  l’Institut Yeunten Ling (Huy),
  •  le Karma Shedrup Gyaltso Ling (Bruxelles),
  •  le Monastère Tilorien (Houffalize)
  •  le temple Yō e An (Neerijse).

The trail - accessible free of charge - takes place indoors (Museum) and outdoors (Estate).
