Mariemont estate

The 45-hectare Mariemont estate is located 30 minutes from Charleroi and Mons and 1 hour from Brussels.

Designed in the 19th century in the style of an English country garden, it is now an open-air museum. Why not take a walk around the estate and admire its works of art, remarkable arboretum and historic buildings?

Mariemont Estate is only partially accessible to people with reduced mobility due to its very uneven terrain. There are parking spaces in the street perpendicular to the tree-lined avenue at the entrance to the park. The museum has a lift.

Mariemont estate is classified as a bird sanctuary. For this reason dogs, even on leads, are not permitted.

Mariemont has Exceptional Heritage classification. Cars and bikes are therefore not permitted on the estate (with the exception of service vehicles).
