Descriptif
An extension to the exhibition Sensing the Buddha
A photographic trail of some fifty prints which offers a glimpse of the Buddhist presence in Belgium. These photographs were taken by Andy Simon with both a documentary and artistic approach. Landscapes, architecture, gestures and objects captured by his lens suggest rituals, sounds and fragrances.
The photographed temples are :
le Centre Zen du Brabant Wallon (Rixensart), l- le Dhammaramsi Meditation Center (Rivière),
- l’Institut Yeunten Ling (Huy),
- le Karma Shedrup Gyaltso Ling (Bruxelles),
- le Monastère Tilorien (Houffalize)
- le temple Yō e An (Neerijse).
The trail - accessible free of charge - takes place indoors (Museum) and outdoors (Estate).

- From tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm (November to March)
Last admission 45 minutes before closing time.

The Domaine de Mariemont is 30 minutes from Charleroi and Mons and 1 hour from Brussels by car.
The museum is at the heart of the estate.
